Transporting your hens

Make sure you remember to bring someting to carry your hens home in. A cardboard box is ideal and, depending upon size, you can often use a supermarket cardboard box to carry around three hens or so. Cut some air holes and make sure that the box is escape-proof for the journey home.

Some people use pet carriers, or crates - these are fine too.

If you need us to supply boxes we can usually provide a new cardoard box for up to three hens - (but we have to charge £3 to cover the cost for the box. This is what we pay for them.)
